• On a beach, I once noticed a woman in a bikini crouched in this classical pose while she was playing with a child. When she noticed I was sketching her, she looked at me and held the pose for a few minutes. Afterwards, I thanked her and asked her what her name was... she smiled and left! Although classical, the pose exhales freshness and also happiness, a very rare emotion these days. I added the shoes so that the viewer's eyes have an anchoring point after following the natural curve of the models body.
